Can't activate my purchase

Hi there,

I tried to Time Machine over all my work and software from Snow Leopard to Lion only to find that it doesn't work and that I cannot downgrade.

So after a few days of trying hacks and reinstalling Leopard on a partition and it all doesn't work, I bought an upgrade for my Parallels 5 so that I can get my work done again and I have had to notify all my clients about the week's delay (and counting)...

But now it says I need to enter my Parallels 5 activation key which I cannot find, even though I followed instructions on Parallels support Re: Licences.xml file, etc. Plus, now all my software seems to be screwed up and out of sync.

I have contacted the shop that I purchased my Parallels 5 legally from and which helped me to do the setup and installation but they have closed down.

What should I do now? Please help... it has been a huge downward spiral from since I got Lion and... it didn't occur to me to take a screenshot of my Parallels 5 to prove it's legit...

Is it possible to buy a new version of Parallels 6 and then get a refund for the upgrade? Thanks!

 

Ok I've gotten a trial key and using it temporarily to see if it works. Otherwise, any help will be MUCH appreciated!!!! Thanks!!!
