    Hi,

    Missing features:

Based on a macbook alu running parallels 6.
I mainly write and port HPC fortran codes to different platforms for the biggest HPC cluster.
Currently I run virtual machines for linux: gentoo (trunk), opensuse 11.4/11.2, win vista/7/HPC Server 2008 and BSD.

    1.
Cuda programming interface is not accessible via win or linux virtual machine.

    2.
Programming latest cpus requires often latest kernels, gcc, ifort ...
Hence I miss latest parallels tools support.

    3.
Performance measuring can be done via reading msr registers under linux. Check likwid in google.
No support yet for those low level kernel space module, no good data so far.

Thanks for the quick reply on twitter. My first attempt to write here was a bit more verbose but the forum kicked me early,
so only short this time ;)

    All the best

    Thorsten
