My company has been using a program called Lotus Approach for our database for the last many years. When we switched over to using Macs, this one program is the reason we needed Parallels. Anyway, Approach always ran fine in Parallels up until this last two beta builds 3120 and 3150. Now, whenever I try to load Approach the VM Crashes. Well I'm not sure if that is totally true. The Parallels program itself doesn't crash as I can still access the Parallels menus on the toolbar. Everything inside the VM just freezes. I checked the activity monitor when this happens and Parallels is using a crazy amount of the CPU. Last time it read over 100% (102% last time) in the activity monitor. The only reason I thought to check the activity monitor was because my macbook fan kicked in as soon as Windows froze up. My Macbook fan rarely ever starts so this made me realize something was going on. So, any ideas as to why this is happening? Lotus Approach is the only program that I've used that has caused this problem. Every other program runs just fine. My system is a Macbook (Core Duo, not Core 2 Duo) with 2GB of memory and plenty of free HD space. Windows XP SP2 with the latest Parallels Tools (3150) is running inside the VM. Thanks.
I just downloaded build 3170 and that seemed to take care of the problem what it was. Approach loads just fine now. Thanks for your help though.
