Hi everyone I'm having some serious trouble trying to get homegroup to work on Windows 7 with Parallel. Here is the situation. I have 2 computers, 1 iMac, 1 MacBook Pro, both of them running Windows 7 Home Premium, both are on the same network, both are running the latest version of parallel. No matter what I do, I can't get homegroup to work. The reason being, even though both computers are on the same network, Windows seem to think that on the iMac, it is connecting to the internet through a network called "Network 2", and the MacBook Pro is connecting to the internet through a network called "Network 5". Obviously, if Windows think the 2 computers are on different networks, homegroup won't work. But it's not. I feel like there is a really obvious solution I am missing, please help. How do I fix it? Thank you.
I don't know the answer but I think I have a broadly similar problem. One PC running Windows 7 and then Windows 7 installed via Parallels on a Mac Pro. Try as I might I cannot set up a homegroup network so it's possible to share files. The odd thing is I am able to share files between OS X and the PC. I am currently trying out the demo version of Parallels and it's good for the most part but there are a few glitches to sort out.
