I'm running Parallels 3150, love it but have an odd issue. I'm a developer and I'm writing an NSIS installer. When my installer finishes successfully it gets restarted, looking at the task list parallelstoolscenter.exe is running it when it starts for the second time.

The installer runs normally on a Windows machine or running in Windows under bootcamp. Has anyone else seen this behaviour or does anyone know how to disable it? If you quit the installer before it finishes it doesn't restart, it only happens when the install is successful.

I can post the exe if people wan to try it out, any help would be appreciated,

I have had a similar issue, but not right after Parallels Tools installation. It's actually pretty random. I'll be doing something in e.g. Outlook when out of nowhere my fans start spinning up, performance of the VM gets sluggish-to-totally unresponsive, I take a look at the Task Manager and whoa! there's parallelstoolscenter.exe chewing up 99% CPU. Not fun. Killing the .exe and waiting a minute or so, things go back to normal.

It's frustrating that I still can't count on Parallels for my customer-facing product demos because of this (and other) sporadic stability issues.

I've upgraded to 3170 and this issue still happens but I've discovered how to stop it happening:

If I open parallels tools centre and disable clipboard sharing then nsis installers don't get restarted when they finish. I'm not sure why this is happening, I suspect a buffer overflow but I'd appreciate if someone at parallels could look into it.
