Over the course of running for more than 3 months straight, my windows profile pvm file has grown from 4gb to 52.7gb, even though inside of Windows the image says the used space is 4.88Gb, and the Free space is 59.1Gb. I tried shrinking, resizing, compressing, etc.. All of it.. I have no snapshots, I have no smartguard, etc... I cracked open the pvm and lo and behold the frigging parallels log file grew to 44gb. You've got to be kidding me. And *no*, I don't have "detailed log file" enabled. It appears I'm in the same boat as these fine gentleman who haven't gotten a response to their Jan2011 posts.. http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?p=435316#post435316 http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=110276&highlight=parallels.log+size The log file denial of serviced my server. Maybe we can do something about this eh? In the meantime, I'll probably setup a cron job to periodically delete the file unless support springs to life with an idea?
I had the same problem and deleted all the snapshots because that's what made mine grow in 3 months from around 20 GB to 70 GB ! How did you turn off snapshots !!! I can't find anywhere how to do that.
