    Hello fellow users!

I'm new to this whole Parallels Desktop 6 program and would like to ask a question about the RAM.

I understand that you have to dedicate RAM to the program. Here's where I'm not clear about something. When you turn on Mac, all 4GB of RAM (That's how much RAM I got) is used for the Mac OS. But when you turn on Parallels it will be needing let's say 2GB of RAM to run Windows. If you close Parallels does the RAM go back to the Mac OS or is it forever dedicated to Parallels until you uninstall it?

Thank you for your time. Sorry if it's a little confusing!

Yes, the allocated VM RAM will go back to the system when you close the Virtual Machine or quit Parallels.
