Hello! Here is my situation. Host=OSX 10.6, Guest=XP pro SP3. I have external memory under my Guest (all Windows file are in the external memory. It has 3 partitions). My problem is that, when in "virtual machine mode", the other computers on the network cannot see my shared folders/ external hard drive partitions. Please give me some steps on how to work this out. Thank you.
I've been struggling wth the same problem for a couple of days. How do I make the VM's network shares visible to other machine's on the network? I've played with a lot of networking options and am able to see the OS/X shares and files. But the VM's shares are just not availabe. Very, Very frustrating. And the really weird part is that I can see other network shares from the VM or OS/X, I can see OS/X shares from other network machines, but I cannot see the VM shares from my other Windows boxes. This shouldn't be that hard. I've been Boot Camp user for couple of years and decided to to evaluate this approach. And I love it! But this networking problem is a deal breaker. If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate the help. Config: MacBook, OS/X 10.5.7, Parallels Desktop 6 Build 6.0.12094, VM: WinXP SP2, Network machines: Windows boxes running WinXP SP3 Thx
