I set up a new user account on my MAC - so I have two users now. Parallels and Windows XP work in the original account but not the new one. Can I get Parallels and XP to work in both?

when you create additional acount under mac, it creates user account folder. default location of all the VM will be under library>parallels. I suggest to move your VM file outside your account. that way you can view the file

Have you tired making an alias and dragging it to the "new user's" Application folder?

Create a folder under /users/shared and copy your VM folder there. Change the permissions on the new folder and everything under it to be read / write for everyone.

Then in the new VM folder, double click the .pvs file (be sure to turn off auto start if you've turned it on first), and change the location of the hard disk file to match the new location.

Then you can double click the .pvs file from either account and Parallels should start with the VM selected.

The applications folder is common to all users.

Parallels is in the application folder and I can setup a VM for Windows but the installed copy of Windows is not recognized - "no operating system is installed". Do I have to reinstall Windows in this account?
