Reading thru a bunch of these recent posts it sounds like the latest version (11994?) has got some serious issues. I have a spanking new iMac, 27" 3.1 i5 and I was hoping to run PD to access some of the Win apps that I normally use from my Mac desktop.

I just did a nice fresh bootcamp install that went swimmingly well. I don't mind giving the demo a testrun, but my question is, if things go horribly wrong, can I simply uninstall PD and wait till a more stable version? I don't mean to knock PD, I've head awesome things from my programmer, and I'm hoping that the nightmare posts represent a fairly small cross-section of users.

So, if I give it a whirl, is falling back as simple as an uninstall?

    thanks,
    Brendan G.

Ok, I went ahead and installed the trial figured I could use the uninstall if something went south. Luckily, all seems to be working well.

My question now is... when I"m not using Wind apps on the Mac, do I leave PD running? Is it eating significant memory? I see there's an option to 'suspend' or quit or simply leave it running. If I have stretches where I won't be utilizing it, should I shut it down?

    Thanks,
    B.

the latest build of PD is OK, as far as I know.
I only start PD when I need it.
when done with the one Windows-app. I use sometimes, I suspend Windows and close PD.
    till next time :)

Thanks, Fredy. That seemed to be the consensus I received from another forum with more traffic.
