Parallels refuse to start up my virtual machines and closes by itself.
Used to work well for few days before I had this problem.
I've tried reinstalling both Parallels and Windows 7 VM.
Please help me find a solution for this problem

    Hi,

Do you receive any kind of error message? If yes, please specify the exact message.

Can you name if you installed any major updates or changes before the issue occured? As it was working previously, what changed?

Also reproduce the issue once again and then send another problem report right after the issue is reproduced to Parallels support team. Do not forget to specify the ID here.

    Hi,

Ok, first of all, we are talking about non-Boot Camp virtual machine, right?

If we do, then my first guess would be to remove the VM from the list of the virtual machines (Parallels Desktop dropdown menu -> Window -> right-click on Vm -> Remove (but keep files!!!)). Then locate your virtual machine in Finder -> right-click on it -> start with Parallels Desktop. Check how it goes.

You can also try to create a fresh virtual machine (choose "Continue without disk") and then connect the existing hard drive to this virtual machine. Here is the link on how to do it:

    http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v6/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/27204.htm

    http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v6/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/23215.htm

"To use a virtual hard disk file as the virtual machine hard disk, click the Source field and choose the virtual hard disk file from the list, or click Choose an image file and specify the path to the desired image file (.hdd) on your Mac."

If both ways are not helpful, I suggest you to create a support ticket here to investigate additionally:

I've tried everything to you suggested but to no avail.

The thing is I'm using a trial subscription and cannot create a support ticket.
I hope this doesn't mean that I have to take my chances and buy a copy of the software without knowing if it'll work for me.

Edit: after reinstall I can start up my VM but Parallels crashes when I go VM -> Configure
Is there no way to fix this problem? I will buy the application if I can get it to work on my system properly

Reinstalling would repair this error. I use to have this error when I started using parallels.[IMG]
