    Hello,

I am running build 3036 on an iMac (OSX 10.4.8). I installed Win XP.
My internet connection is working great in OSX but nothing in the VM.
I am using "bridged ethernet" (en0 ethernet adapter).
I get an error message when I try restarting the VM after changing to "Shared Networking".

Any clues as to how to fix that?

    Thanks in advance.

When I check the network status in OS X, there are 2 ethernet adapters (en2 and en3) that are not working (No IP).

When I try connecting through Airport, it says the IP is already being used.

    What setup should I try?

I use Shared Networking and have had no problems.

    I tried every possible setting.

    Bridged ethernet (en0 and en1)
    Shared networking
    Host-only

    Nothing works.

Should I also set up the connection in WinXP?

Try downloading RC2 (build 3150) and see if that helps.

    Is it a beta release?

If I install 3150, will I have to reinstall WinXP?

Yes, it's a beta release but, no, you won't have to reinstall XP.

So Is your 3036, that's an EARLY beta release.

No, you don't have to reinstall XP if you install 3150. Just be sure that Parallels isn't running while you are updating it. Also restart your Mac after the installation.

    I just upgraded to 3150.

    It works with shared networking.

Not sure what was wrong with the previous build I tried.

    Thanks all for the help!

Yep - it pretty much did :)

I just saw your pm to me just tonight, Steve. I missed it when it came in. I'll respond via email, but yes, I did hear back from them, but haven't had time to digest it all. Apparently the stuff you're using isn't quite production code.
