Good afternoon, I am getting a disk read error message when I try to boot Parallels following a hard restart of my MacBook Pro. I've restarted twice to no avail. I also updated Parallels. I generated an error report with ID # 8309308 and have attached a screen shot of the error message. Thanks! Bree W.
Hi, try to restore boot information from recovery console (fixboot and fixmbr commands). For more information see Microsoft's KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058 p.s. KB for Windows Vista/7 (used bootrec.exe): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927392
In fact, all software on my computer was loaded by our IT department which is in a different city! I really could use some help here!!
That not good, but I hope we could solve your problem without a installation CD. Before any action please create a backup copy of your VM! Try to increase disk (to 34 GB for example) with partition resizing. After resizing try to boot VM. If VM will not boot or resizing failed create new problem report. Have you got another VM with windows or linux? It could be helpful.
