I run windows XP using Parallels 5 on my mac. I typically run it in its own window. I have noticed that if Parallels is running but not used for a while everything freezes. I can shut down Parallels but it does not appear windows stops. I get the black screen that has windows xp on it and the rotating apple thinking graphic. If I close parallels when I reopen it and launch windows I get the same screen. The only way to get it to work is to restart the computer. Any ideas? This is totally irritating.
Check out this KB article regarding PD freezing on startup: http://kb.parallels.com/en/9304 Keep me posted if you get things resolved
Thanks for the article DeShawnB. That is not quite the problem I am having. If Parallels has been open for a while and unused everything freezes. I can't do anything in windows. When I shut down parallels I get the spinning beach ball. I can force quit parallels but when I go to restart it the beach ball is still there. The only way to clear it is to restart my computer. Any ideas??? Thanks,
