    Hi Parallels,

I'm trying to migrate my Parallels Desktop to my new MacBook Pro. I've copied all the files are to my new machine but when I try to launch Parallels I just get the spinning beachball.

    Model Identifier: MacBookPro8,2
    Processor Name: Intel Core i7
    Processor Speed: 2 GHz
    Number of Processors: 1
    Total Number of Cores: 4

I used Migration Assistant to move all the files except the hds files because the assistant complained they were too big. I did the hds files by hand.

I found one differences in my new configuration. If I do a ls -l on my hds files, I see an "@" symbol in the listing of my new machine. Symbolic link?!

    I've attached the crash log.

    Kindest Regards,
    Brian

    Hey Parallels,

I did a software update on my new Mac, rebooted, and now Parallels is launching correctly. Hooray.

Migrating 5.0 from MacBook to MackbookPro

    Hello,

I need to transfer my parallels install from my macbook to my macbookpro but not sure how to do it. I also want to upgrade to 6.0 so I'm also not sure if I should upgrade first and them migrate or migrate first and then upgrade.

If you can give me your thoughts on this and also more details as of how to do the migration I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks!

    Marco
