How can I move or copy an image file from the Windows desktop to my Mac? Your advise is much appreciated.
drag & drop or copy & paste usually works Have you tried having it arranged so that your windows desktop is beside your mac desktop. If you have a small mac like mine you may have to drag the windows smaller. Then drag & drop the image from the Windows desktop to the Mac desktop. Then you may have to minimize open windows to look at your mac desktop to see if it is there. then you can move it to where you want it. You could also try selecting it in Windows & then copy which is control C, & then move your cursor to the Mac desktop & click & do command V to paste to the desk top. (Mac uses the command key where Windows uses the control key for those keyboard commands). Drag & drop usually works for me. That is you drag what you want from the windows desktop to the mac desktop.
