when i tried to start up win 7 from my snow leopard using parallels it says Trying to boot from SATA drive 1... failed Trying to boot from SATA optical drive 2... SATA optical drive 2 failed. Trying to boot from Floppy drive... failed Trying to boot from networking... anyone know whats going on
Same Problem Hi, I'm having the same problem as the OP. I'm also running Snow Leopard and trying to install Windows 7 with Parallels 6. I've tried disk images (cdr, dmg, iso) with no luck - it doesn't even sound like the optical drive is being accessed. The Windows 7 DVD works fine - my PC will boot from it. I'm at a loss for what to try next. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm getting the exact same errors. I have the new MacBook Pro with Sandy Bridge. 4GB RAM. I have tried it with an ISO image on my HDD, and an ISO image on a CD and nothing seems to work. I read somewhere else on here that if you place your ISO images in the "Parallels" directory in the documents folder that that will solve it, but that didn't help. I also tried disabling the floppy drive and that didn't help. The description of this thread needs to be updated so that we can get it properly resolved. Just saying "HELP" does not provide a good description for the experts to assist us. -Brian
