I wanted to install WinXp on Parallel. But I wanted the XP to have multiple partitions. E.g., C:, D:, E. The same construction of a PC. Is this possible? Please help me on how to crate this. Switching from PC to MAC. Help is highly appreciated. Thank you.

By default, the VMs created by PD have one partition. There are two ways to build a system with more than one drives:

    1. The easy way: Add more virtual drives to the VM via the VM's options panel. Note that the number of drives you can have is limited.

    2. More complex: Use a partition manager to change partitions after creation. You need a separate software for this; it can't be done by Windows itself. There is freeware out there, Google's your friend.

More partitions slow down disk performance in general on a physical (real) PC. I don't know whether this might also true with a VM.
