First off, kudos to parallels on getting a vmware certified pro to switch to parallels... the performance increase was worth betraying vmware for. Now, the history of this vm; I converted my windows 7 x64 laptop to a vmware workstation vm, uninstalled all existing drivers, installed vmware tools, and used fusion for a while. I didnt have any sound issues, but it was a little sluggish, causing me to switch. After switching I did the same, uninstalled any vmware drivers and installed the parallels tools. So now, it runs very well, however the sound crackles under heavy virtual disk usage. Sound does not crackle when OSX is writing to its physical disk, only when the win7 vm is reading/writing to its virtual disk. Any ideas?
