First off, Parallels is the most useful SW I have on my Mac - thank you for an excellent product! I couldn't have a Mac without it. I've been a loyal user since v4, and this is my first issue.

Now to my problem. I had multiple VMs: XP and Win7. Win7 irritates me terribly, so I deleted it. Problem is, all the application associations in OSX were tied to Win7, I'm guessing because it was the last Windows VM installed. When I deleted it, I lost the ability to see MS Office from OSX.

For example, I have a .pptx file. When I right-click and choose "Open with" in OSX, my Windows-based MS apps aren't even listed anymore.

I tried reinstalling Parallels Tools, but that didn't help. I'm running Build 6.0.11820 (Revision 602974; September 8, 2010)

    Thanks!

Run your XP virtual machine and make sure "Share Windows Applications with Mac" option is enabled.

The latest version of Parallels Desktop is 6.0.11828

I'm having the same issue with a new Windows 7 VM. It used to work with Parallels 6 on my WinXP VM, but not with Windows 7.

    Any suggestions?
