    hello denningsrogue,

    start the virtual machine and choose "install Parallels Tools" from the "Virtual Machine" menu. The .iso with Parallels Tools should get mounted automatically in Ubuntu. Then run the "install" script as root.

    this is something you can easily look up in the parallels documentation, for example here.

    Bye!

    Hey guys and Parallels staff;

    I am new to Mac, and have been pretty excited about Parallels Desktop advertised functionality since then - which prompted me to buy it at the same time.

    It is now many months later, and I've been stuggling and struggling with getting Linux running (I've tried Fedora 14 and Ubuntu 10.10). No luck; whatever I try, I cannot get the Tools installed!!!!

    Any suggestions/help would be very much appreciated as I'm out of energy and amazed at how difficult this is. :(

    Cheers,

    Greg

    hello geva420,

    could you post the content of /var/log/parallels-tools-install.log. In most cases it contains the reason why the installation failed.

    Bye.
