I recently installed Parallels and Windows 2000 on a 2.66 Mac Pro with 1gb RAM and one 250gb hard drive. Everything looked good while installing Quicken 2005 and Whisper, a shareware PC password program. When I tried to install Microsoft Office 1997 from the original CD, it blew away Windows 2000 altogether. I restarted Parallels and rebooted Windows 2000. This time, I used Windows File Explorer to view the files on the Office 1997 CD, found setup.exe and tried to open it and AGAIN, it blew away Windows 2000. Has anyone been able to install Offce 1997 under Parallels, especially with Windows 2000. I can't imagine what's going on here. Thanks
what service pack have you installed in windows 2000? have you tried running the setup.exe for office 97 in Windows 98 compatability mode ?
