I am trying to use Quicken Deluxe 2010 in a Windows XP professional VM. I am a former VMWare user who moved last week to Parallels Desktop for Mac v6. For one of my accounts in Quicken, I used to do a web download of my transactions via Firefox on the macbook side and then Quicken Launcher automatically launched to pull up VMWare, start quicken, and then process those transactions. I just tried to do the same thing today and unfortunately, it does not work. Apparently even though I have parallels up and running, it still tries to start up VMWare. When I look at what the Quicken Launcher is associated with in my Finder, it tells me that it is associated with VMWare and not Parallels. Does anyone know how can I fix this?
I use Quicken 2010 on my PD6 also. I'm not sure how to get it associated with PD6 instead of your old VMWare. If you have a back up of your Quicken files, I'd just install Q2010 again and then navigate to and open your back up.
I have the same problem after upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7. I am running Parallels 7 on OX 10.6. Web connect worked like a charm on XP however, it fails now with a message that the virtual machine cannot be located.
