When I created my Windows 7 VM, it setup a disk size of ~63GB. I want to expand this, how can I expand the virtual disk size allocated to a VM?

When the virtual machine is not running, right click the virtual machine in the Virtual Machine List and select Configure. Go to Hardware -> Hard Disk 1. Click Edit. Select the new size you want and make sure Resize file system is selected.

    Same problem, instructions don't work

I have the same problem, but I did the things you describe to do, and the file size is larger (from 22 to 45 gigs), but inside Windows it still reports the C: drive as being 22gb. I tried several variations on this, and cannot seem to make Windows see its larger file size.

The Resize File System option only works for file systems that are at the end of the virtual hard disk. Do you have more than one partition on your virtual hard disk? Use Disk Management in Windows to check.
