    Hi,
I got a MacBook pro last weekend I am using Parallels 6 Desktop for Mac with Windows 7 so I can use MS office as I need it for university. I am trying to install the endnote web plug in for MS word. When it tries to run the program, an error message comes up: Error 1606. Could not access network location \\psf\Home.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Also is there a way of accessing files in my documents in windows from Mac and vice versa?

    Thanks
    Charlotte :)

    Try reinstalling Parallels Tools.

Use the Sharing settings for using documents in Windows from Mac and vice versa.
Virtual Machine -> Configure -> Options -> Sharing

You might need to disable Shared Profile to install endnote web plug in. You might be able to enable Shared Profile if you want after endnote is installed.

You can use Parallels Shared folders to access Mac files from Windows.

You can mount virtual disks to the Mac desktop to access Windows files from Mac.

Thank you for your help. I have managed to install endnote web plug in by disabling sharing of documents. When I put sharing back on I still cannot access my Mac files from windows or vice versa. How do I mount a virtual disc with windows files to mac? When I access the sharing settings, under share windows both the 'access windows files from mac' and 'mount virtual discs to mac desktop' are ticked.

Check the Finder preferences and make sure all the items under "Show these items on the desktop" are selected:
    Hard disks
    External disks
    CDs, DVDs, and iPods
    Connected servers
