start menu popup from dock icon or menubar icon

In P6 for the first few times it popups up above or below the parallels icons are as you'd expect. It then starts showing up in the bottom left hand corner where the "hidden" Start Menu really is (I guess) and it will not return to where the parallels icon is until you reboot. This is with Windows XP. Very annoying and not something I ever noticed in version 5.
