    AMP Web development server 3

I have been using AMP WDS with Parallels 5, I have upgraded to Parallels 6 now AMP WDS doesn't get an IP address. I'm not sure if it is an issue with Parallels config (network is set to default adaptor) and the #ifconfig returns:

    lo Link encap:Local Loopback
    inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask 255.0.0.0
    UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:......

There is no eth0 adapter listed.

Any advise as to how to sort this out would be great.

    Cheers

    David

Does networking work normally in other apps (browser, file sharing, printing, ping command line, etc.)?
Try setting the bridged network adapter to a specific adapter (e.g. Ethernet) instead of Default Adapter.

My Mac network is fine and the other Virtual Machines (win xp, win 7, Ubuntu 8.04 and 10.4) work correctly. The AMP WDS doesn't appear in mac finder, it used too.

When I change the network adapter from default to Ethernet, I get the following message:

"The real network adapter Ethernet used by the virtual adapter 1 is not connected to the network"

I don't get this message if I pick AirPort, but the virtual machine doesn't pick up an IP address when it tries to fetch one.

I really need to get the this on the network or some way to get the data out of it.

    Thanks for any advice.

Restarting the network service results in:

Bringing up interface eth0: ne2k-pci device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.
Failed to get index for interface name 'eth0':No such device failed!

Does this indicate that the network card isn't installed in the virtual machine?

I have renamed the .pvm file and re-installed the AMP virtual machine, and that doesn't connect to the network either.

I am suspecting that AMP WDS3 isn't supported by Parallels 6.

I use the AMP WDS as part of my business.
