    Hi,

I will use a vmware machine to run with parallels. I have done this many times, but now i converted the vm with transporter from parallels an wanted to start it.

but now it doesnt start at the screen: The virtual machine will be configured. please wait...
at certainly 25% it doesnt go on.

    why?

    thx for help.

    Hi, HuebnerE

Please describe more detailed what did you do.

There is some questions about your case:
    1) what version of vmware were used?
    2) why did you convert vm many times? what version of parallels were used?
    3) does previously converted vm starts in parallels?

Also please generate a problem report and tell me it's number.

To avoid configurations step you need to correct .hdd image configuration:
    1. open DiskDescriptor.xml (it is placed within disk image bundle) in text editor
    2. change <CompatLevel>level2:v</CompatLevel> to <CompatLevel>level2</CompatLevel>
    3. save changes
    4. start VM

    Hi,

    1. i dont know in which version of vmware the vm was created.
    2. i converted the srv vm (which do not run) only one time.
    3. on the macbook, where i want to run the server, i didnt run ever a converted vmware machine. but on my imac in the office i run many converted machines...

Your second bet didnt work. i changed the parameter, but without any improvement.

I use Parallels5 with the latest updates, Mac OS X 10.6.4

It's very strange. If your VM contains more than one virtual hard disks, change CompatLevel parameter for all of them.

Please generate a problem report and tell me it's number. It's mush easier to detect a problem with a report.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the report. Guest screenshot looks like bsod. Unfortunately BSOD screen was not generated completely, there are no information about error. Could you please post DiskDeskriptor.xml content?
