    Hi,

make sure that VM is in Shared Networking mode. If this doesn't help, please click Start -> Run and execute cmd.exe. Type in the appeared window command "ipconfig /all". Then, without closing the window, click Parallels Destkop menu "Help"->"Report a Problem", send a problem report (it is not necessary to provide description) and post here the report ID.

You need to install Parallels Tools. To do this, click menu "Virtual Machine" -> "Install Parallels Tools". Please carefully read the appeared message box, because you may need to click MyComputer -> CDRom if installation will not start automatically

There should be a message about missing Parallels Tools at the bottom of Parallels Desktop's Window, but it is not very noticeable (

In yuor case I'd suggest to create a support ticket at http://www.parallels.com/support/request/ because investigation through forum can take a long time, but as a try:

Right-click "My Computer" -> "Manage" -> "Device Manager", unfold the "Network Adapters" and send one more problem report (and post here its id)

Same issue ... the ID is 6414771.

On the recommendation of someone else, I uninstalled Parallels Tools (through Windows Start -> Control Panels -> Add/Remove) and re-installed it. That certainly helped the performance of Parallels.

    me too

I opened a ticket as well and even tried to start a forum topic on this because I think mine stopped working after installing the latest version of Parallels and the tools that got installed afterwards.

I opened a trouble ticket but my copy/paste of the number failed :(

Is there any way to get that number back to post here?

Hi, The version you are running (4.0.3522.205957) is too old, it was released many monthes before SnowLeopard. You definitely need to download and install the latest build of Parallels Desktop 4.0. The link for the latest build can be found here: http://kb.parallels.com/en/5802
