I have tried running AutoCad 2011 64bit with Parallels Desktop 5 ; Build 5.0.9344 ; Rev 558741 ; Mar 5, 2010. I am using Win7 Pro 64bit for the operating system. All programs I have tried so far work great, except the mouse on the Autocad drawing screen. It is very slow and jerky. If I go to another application everything is fine. I had read that Parallels was working with Autocad on ver 2011 and I thought this problem would be gone. I had tried running Autocad on earlier versions of Parallels with the same result. All programs work fine .... EXCEPT .... Autocad screen drawing with the mouse. How can I get the screen to work with the mouse? I have an iMAC 27" 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 with 8GB of ram. I have parallels set up using 4 cores and 4GB ram while running Autocad 2011 and nothing else. I should have lots of horsepower to run the application, but still get the very slow mouse (impossible to draw with) and I want to find what's wrong and how to correct it. I hope I don't have to run "Boot Camp" to get Autocad to work.

    Please help.
    Thanks.

I’m sorry for the troubles you’re having. To solve the problem as quickly as possible I recommend submitting a support ticket with the Parallels team http://www.parallels.com/support/.

    Support Ticket

I would post a support ticket, but I have already bought parallels and now to ask and get an answer I have to supply more money? I was hoping someone else had this problem and found a solution. I don't really want to spend more money just to find there doesn't appear to be any solution.

    ??

I can't understand how some users seem to have no problem? I have had the same problem with Parallels 3, 4 & now 5 with no answers coming from anyone. If some people get it working, what are they doing? I have tried everything I can with no results. I wonder if the people that say it works fine on their system actually use it or just install it and look at existing drawings. PLEASE... if someone can help with this, I'm waiting to hear from you. And it seems there are a number of others in the same boat.
