Error when installing Parallels Tools (Dll_.ini)

I followed the advice in another thread where Parallels got stuck at stage 4 of the upgrade process, and switched to manual mode. When I run the Parallels Tools setup in the VM, I now get the following error:

"Failed to extract the 'Dll_.ini' from the binary table".

After I dismiss that message, I get a message that Parallels Tools installation has failed, click OK to restart the VM and retry the Parallels Tool installation. I have been through this cycle 5 or more times. My anti-virus software is disabled, not sure what else to try. Is it possible that the Parallel Tools files are corrupt?

I would really appreciate some help on this, I have been trying to upgrade my Parallels for the last 2 days, and am not really getting anywhere.

This is Parallels version 5, and the VM is running Windows XP SP 2.

I’m sorry for the troubles you’re having. To solve the problem as quickly as possible I recommend submitting a support ticket with the Parallels team http://www.parallels.com/support/
