I can open up Parallels and get to my list of Virtual Machines.

I have Windows XP and a couple of Linux VMs.

When I click on a VM to run it, the window opens to 'black' like it's about to boot, then it goes to Spinning Beach Ball and stays that way until I force quite out? It does the same thing with all the VMs that I try to start.

    Help!!

Are there some temporary files that need to get cleared out? or what's the solution.

We recently restored the entire hard disk from a clone. Perhaps this is affecting something.

I tried 'uninstalling' and 'reinstalling' Parallels 4.0.3xxx

    Didn't make a difference.

Same problem here for months -- very annoying. Keeps reverting to that state until some program is actually running... Would also appreciate any insight.
