I'm currently using the Compiz Fusion stuff with Xorg 1.7.6-3 on FC12. effects are working great... parallels tools works pretty good... shared disks work and such.

The only issue I'm currently having with it is that I can't go to Full Screen. When I try that, it attempts to switch resolutions and, although it flips (rotates) the screen, it doesn't resize the resolution to fit the screen. Instead, it resorts to going back to my current non-full screen resolution of 1024x768. Also, I've noticed that in gnome, the "Display Preferences" applet shows the monitor as "Unknown."

Is there any fix for this? I know that these are experimental features, but I'm hoping that someone else may have seen this and has resolved it with a workaround.

    Thanks,
    Joe

I figured out what happened. Visual Effects work just fine. And Parallels works fine with Fedora 12. My issue was that my vm, for whatever reason, defaulted to very low video memory (maybe around 4MB or something). So I was limited because of that. I increase it to 32+MB of video memory and everything works fine.. Full screen and all.

One thing that would be nice is if Parallels had a way to remove all OSX hot keys except for 1, so that if you wanted to use all hot keys for your VM you could. And then, if you ever wanted to leave that mode, you just press a single hot key that allowed you to leave that mode and go back to allowing OSX hot keys.
