Hello, I just installed Parallels Desktop on my imac27 and created a virtual machine for a linux system. Everything was working fine until I installed Parallels tools. Now when I start my virtual machine, linux boot properly but I cannot work with it. The mouse click does not work. If I move the mouse over some icons, they are highlighted but if I make a mouse click on them nothing happens. I would really appreciate any help. Thank you.
I just had exactly the same problem with Ubuntu 8.04.1 on my Mac Pro, but the problem only appeared ater I downloaded the 359 updates using the update manager. I could not even uninstall Parallel Tools since I cound not start Terminalwithout mouse clicks being recognized. I tossedout the entire installation and started over. Installing Parallel tools semed to work insome respects; i.e. Parallels Shaed Folder appeared on the desktop and that allows me access to files and folders on the Mac side. On the other hand the mouse still has to be released with control+alt.
