I just used Parallels 5 to install Windows 7 on my Mac OS X laptop. The laptop, a Macbook Pro, has 4GB of ram. However, Windows 7 only recognizes 1GB. Why??

You can change the amount of memory that's assigned to a Virtual Machine in the "Configure" dialog (Virtual Machine -> Configure). For that to work the VM needs to be off (but Parallels must be running).
