I am using Windows XP and OS 10.6.3 on a MacPro Tower. I cannot connect to the internet on the
VM. Have tried ideas in other threads -- shared networking is enabled is Parallels. I have submitted a problem report. The id is ID 5807624.

    Thanks for your help.

Have you got the DHCP server turned on for "Shared networking"? Have you tried "Bridged networking"?

I have tried bridged and the shared network options.

When you say -- turn on the DHCP server for shared networking. Where do you mean? I have been doing this in the Parallels (version 5) configuration screen. I also tried turning on share Internet in System preferences on the OS X side.
    Nothing works.

This did not work in version 4 of my setup either -- a real pain.

Also some very glitchy startup issues -- it cant find my boot disk partition. Need to point things manually. Another real pain.
