Forgive me if this has been posted and answered already but I can't find the answer. We have an aluminum Intel Imac that we are installing Parallels 5 on. It's running 10.6.2 and has never had Parallels installed before. On attempting to run the installer, it keeps saying that we have to close down running Parallels apps, but these apps aren't even installed on the system yet since there has never been anything installed on it before. It lists Parallels itself, the migration tool, transporter, etc. None of these are even on the machine yet. I think the installer check has a bug in it but I am not sure. Either way we cannot proceed from that point to finish the installation. Any ideas?
Hm, that's distinctly odd and sounds like a prior failed installation of Parallels. The installer disk comes with an uninstaller. I suggest you try running that, restart, and try installing again.
