I have two network printers installed on my Mac Pro. One is an HP 1022n Laserjet and the second is an HP 7400 All-in-one officejet. Prior to the install of RC2, I could print from either printer under Windows XP in Parallels. Since installing RC2, I've been unable to print from either printer. If I try to print from the HP 7400, I get an error describing a VPN conflict. Since I don't have a VPN installed, this one pretty much baffles me. The system is unable to find the HP 1022n, even when I scan for it. If I enter it by its network name, it can't find it either. I've tried to install both again to no avail. The HP 1022n is never found and the HP 7400 installs fine but refuses to print because of the VPN conflict. So far, my only solution has been to print to a PDF printer and then drag the file over to OSX to print on either printer from there. This is inconvenient, but not a show-stopper. Just wondering if others have reported these issues with RC1. (Since I have a slightly inconvenient workaround, I'm not willing to give up the newer benefits of RC1 to regain printing, but I'd sure like to have it back). Gracias, merci, grazie for any suggestions or advice that would help me through this newly discovered (for me) problem.
I've been having the same problem with being unable to find the server at all. I found that switching the network back to "Bridged Ethernet" fixes it. Hopefully they'll get a fix out soon.
Check some information: The IP address and netmask of both printers The IP address and netmask of the VM The IP address and netmask of OS X What protocol is in use for the printers? Can OS X see and use either printer? From OS X and Windows can you ping the printers? Do the printers use DHCP and if so, what provides the DHCP services?
