I just installed Parallels 5 for Mac and Windows 7 Ultimate on my MacBook Pro. Everything fine until I tried to launch IE. Can not attach to home network. CAN attach via my MacBook Pro ... but not via virtual Parallels. Immediately get message "Windows does not detect any network hardware" ... tried to download drivers or other from within virtual Windows but of course can not because not able to connect. Argh. Any help on process to get to Internet apps via Windows and IE, which is primary reason I purchased parallels for Mac? Thanks!
have you installed Parallels Tools? Without those you won't be able to network. If yes, then check your network settings from the "Virtual Machine" -> "Configure" menu. The network can be set to "bridged" or "shared"; with many WLAN routers, "Bridged" works quite well, but there are some where the network needs to be set to "Shared" (and Parallels' DHCP server may need to be turned on as well; you'll find that under "Paralells" -> "Preferences"). Good luck!
