Hi there! I'm from Germany and I didn't find a suitable forum here so I'll post my problem at yours. I've just bought Parallels 5 and installed it in connection with Windows XP. The virtual disc (Windows XP-0.hdd) was round 4 GB big. Everything was fine. Today I had a look at my free disc space under OSX and noticed that it had decreased. On the lookout for the reason I noticed that the virtual disc from Parallels XP now had 11,3 GB. I don't understand it as there is only XP and one program installed - nothing more. When I look at the disc space in Parallels Windows XP it takes 2,5 GB of real space. So why does it take so much in OSX? I really don't want that because I only have 120 GB and it really hurts when the space is takes so senseless. I wanted to use the image tool but I can only increase the disc space from 64 GB upwards....do you have any suggestions how to get that file smaller? thanks alot!
Hi Johannes, I guess you've set up the virtual disk to be "expanding". I suggest you try to compress it and then change it to a fixed size disk.
