    Hi,

Am using the latest beta RC. I created a "shared folder", which I can see on my Windows session, but cannot see in my user folder (which is where I told Parallels to put it). Am I missing something (probably obvious)?

    Thanks!

Which "user folder" windows or OSX?
If Windows, where in windows do you see it?
What version of Parallels? Which version of Windows?

    Hi,

Parallels version: Product Version: Build 3120 Release Candidate (January 10, 2007)

    Windows version: Windows XP SP2

I see the shared folder in windows as a shared network device / folder; i.e. it's in the same tree root in Windows explorer as My Computer (open My Computer, at the bottom is the shared folder).

The folder name in Windows is "Documents". Funny, I could've sworn it was "Shared Documents" when I made it.

The shared folder is nowhere to be found on the Mac side.

    Does any of this help?

    Thanks,

    Wildnight

Windows is on a VIRUTAL disk.
Meaning it is nothing more then a large file residing on your Mac HD.
To see folders and files produced in Windows on the MAC side, you would need to install Windows via Boot-Camp and have Parallels use the Boot Camp windows partition. Now the files would reside on a "real" physical disk partition.

    Hope this helped.

    Hi,

Does it change your analysis any that I am using the boot camp scenario you described already?

    Thanks,
