I have been unable to run the System Assessment Tool (WEI Score) in 32-bit Windows 7 - Home Premium. I get an APPCRASH error in the WINSAT.EXE program. This appears to happen during the media encoding test. Am I to assume that Windows 7 is not functioning properly in Parallels because it has failed a basis system test?
Hi Eric, can you please provide screenshot of the error you get? How exactly you run Windows Experience Index?
Screen shot /Users/Eric/Desktop/Screen shot 2010-06-08 at 2.23.18 PM.png Sorry I haven't had much time to worry about this issue. But here is a screen shot of the problem. I have a MacBook Pro 2.33GHz 15" with 4 GB Ram and ATI Mobility X1600 video chip. This is a clean install on Windows 7. Any Ideas?
Nothing to see here. Move along, move along.... I finally found the source of my troubles. My Mac hard disk was acting weird and had to be replaced. Apparently that incident also has corrupted some files. The Windows 7 Disk Image that I created (months ago) appears to have become corrupted. After I created a fresh ISO of my Windows 7 disk, and re-installed the Window 7 guest operating system, all was fine. Sorry for the false alarm. I guess I'm not very good at troubleshooting issues.
