I just had to log in here today and post something to try and dissipate some of my anger at this system. I've had every copy of Parallels since the very beginning and like a sucker I keep buying the next version thinking "They gotta have this working by now!". But nooooo, Brand new Mac Book Pro, Clean install of Win 7 and can't get a simple program to install because I at one point decided to trust this software and turn on the shared profiles and now, everytime I run an installer (shared folders, drives, etc turned on or off) I get the ERROR can't find psf://UsersDeskop or whatever the error is, I'm too frustrated to look it up again now. Seriously, its been like 5 years! Get the basics working first and stop jamming half a$%ed "features" into a half working product! Windows is a pain enough to work with much less then parallels complicating the process even more.

The error I get sometimes is that when I install an older program it would abort because it has problem with the z: drive which is the psf drive. What I would do in that case is I would just disconnect the psf drive and run the installation. Yes the share drive implementation has always been buggy.
