Hey all.. I want to but Parallels For Mac. But, I have a question: I am on Mac and have Win 7. If I allocate like 1gb RAM to it, will it be permanently used by Win7? Or, only when I run Win7? Thanks
memory allocated to the vm is only utilized when the vm is running. so in your case, when win7 is running, 1GB of mac system ram will be used by parallels. when the win7 vm is suspended or exited, the memory will be freed for os x to use.
