Cannot find Parallel installation tools

Can you help me with the following:
I installed parallels on my Mac which works well, but I am unable to communicate between my Mac and Windows. I have tried to install "tools" but I am unable to find these either on the CD-Rom or in my windows files when in the virtual environment. I am therefore still unable to import files from my Mac into the virtual machine.

Can someone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

from Parallels Desktop upper menu navigate to Virtual Machine menu > Install Parallels Tools.

Thank you for your reply! I have tried your suggestion, but that option in the menu stays grey and I am unable to use it. Do you have another suggestion, or is it possible to call the helpdesk to walk through this problem?
