Using Parallels 5.0.9310, Windows XP SP3. When mouse speed is lowered from the center position in Control Panel/Mouse/Pointer Options to make it usable under Parallels, the setting is not maintained from one reboot of Windows to the next. (Hardware acceleration is already down one notch.) This seems to happen sometimes after a suspend as well. Any ideas on how to resolve?
I think this is due to the fact that when Smart Mouse is on, Parallels overrides the Windows mouse settings with the Mac's mouse settings.
I couldn't find any reference to Smart Mouse in either Parallels Preference or VM/Configure. The good news is the latest build, 5.0.9344 seems to have resolved the problem. The mouse speed in Parallels XP is the same as in Mac, even with the XP mouse setting in mid-range (the default position).
