I have installed parallels for mac on my new macbook pro. XP was installed through Bootcamp. Now when I open parallels and try to run it it tell me that there is no operating system installed. Also I get 'No boot device available'

    Anyone have similar problems?

Parallels does not automatically run a bootcamp installation. The results you are getting are expected.

If you are running the latest release, build 1970, you can't run the bootcamp installation in a VM. If you install the latest beta, you can create a virtual machine and tell it to use the bootcamp installation.

Note that it is beta and therefore known to have unresolved problems, and beta code is unsupported. If you try the beta, and run into problems after reading ALL the documentation, search the forum to see if your problem has been addressed (it probably has) and if not, post a specific question including details about your installation including Mac model, processor type, installed RAM, Parallels settings and anything else that makes your problem unique. Note that most of the bootcamp problems have been discussed and the likelihood of yours being new is low.
