I went to Sam's today to get Windows so that I could install Quicken on my Macbook Pro (mid-year 2006). But I accidentally picked up Windows Home Premium Upgrade, not the full Windows. I found out after it stated that the activation key would not work. Now I am unsure how to proceed. Since I opened the Windows, I can't take it back. Is there a way to upgrade to full Windows? If not, I am thinking of getting XP and installing it first, although I hesitate to do that. A clean install would be better. I was hoping someone may have experience with this situation. It has been a lot of money so far just to run Quicken. This is what I get for going to Sam's at 7 in the morning Thanks, Vince
As an update, I called Microsoft and they said there was nothing I could do, so I called Sam's Club where I had purchased the product. After a lengthy conversation telling him that I was only doing this to get Quicken, he said he would let me bring it back and purchase the upgrade for the price difference. So, problem solved. Can't wait to try out Parallels. Vince
