Parallels transporter issues

    How do I migrate Parallels from my old Mac to my new Mac? Do I need Parallels installed on the new machine?

    Hi Andy,
    as I understand, you need to move your virtual machine from old Mac to new Mac. Please note that for second installation of Parallels Desktop you'll need another license key.
    Basically, you need to install Parallels Desktop on your new Mac, copy the virtual machine from your old Mac to ~/Documents/Parallels, create new virtual machine with existing hard disk and point Virtual Machine assistant to ~/Documents/Parallels. Please note that virtual machine file has extension .pvm and can be simply copied to a new Mac over network or to external drive.
    When creating new virtual machine, you have to use Custom installation mode:
