Upgraded successfully from Vista to Windows 7 under Parallels 5 and Snow Leopard. Is there a way to change to OS name from Vista to Window 7 ? Everything is still labeled Vista like at the top of the mac window still says "Windows Vista - Parallels Desktop" and the Parallels start up splash screen still says "Vista" (where you click to start Windows 7) Not a big deal but annoying none the less.

    Thanks for any help.

    mrm,

you can change it here: Virtual Machine -> Configure -> General -> Name. I would also recommend updating OS type to Windows 7, it's just below the name. Note that your VM must be shut down to allow this change.

How can you change the Virtual Machine name if by having to shut it down there is not access to the Menu path mentioned above???

"Shut down the VM" is not the same as "Quit Parallels". After you've shut down the VM, note that on the VM window you'll have a little icon that will take you into the VM configuration dialog.
